Why go custom built?

John wants a computer that is capable of handling all of the latest and greatest games available on the market, he also wants to know that his system will be capable of playing games released a year or more down the road. He's looking for superbly fluid graphics, with electrifying frame rates and sound replication that will make all those explosions and firefights seem like real life.

Pat may want a system which has been tuned for photo editing and graphic design. The system needs ample amounts of memory for handling all of the memory intensive photo-editing software. However there is no great need for a superior 3d graphics card as he has no intention of ever using the system for games or 3d rendering.

Mary, on the other hand, just wants a computer for keeping in touch with friends and family via email, and occasional web browsing. She also wants her children to be able to use Microsoft Office for their homework assignments.
